This may sound crazy, but in our house we now keep our Christmas tree up all year long! We have always kept the Christmas tree up a little longer than most people, because no one in our house wanted me to take it down... and well, neither did I!
Scroll down to see how I created little woodland animals that I will also use as little "arts of kindness" and Christmas gift tags.

Last year my family begged me not to take down the tree. They wanted it up all year long! So my creative self decided to step out of the box of what's "normal"! First we had a Valentine tree, then an Easter tree, a spring tree, a Fourth of July tree and now it's a Fall tree!
On each of the seasonal trees I placed "Names of God Cards" (which you can now purchase on my site under the tab "Shop"). This is probably my favorite part of keeping the Christmas tree up year long. Every tree has held the glistening names of God in it's branches. Sometimes, I just stop and spend time focusing on the various names of God and take a moment to center my heart on God's love. In the busyness of life and the "not so perfect" days when I really need the presence of God close, I stand in front of the tree and focus my heart on God's unfathomable, never-ending and unconditional love.
There's something new on our seasonal tree! Adorable woodland animals! My love for God is knit together with my love for all he has created. So I created little animals, dressed in fall attire. I am now working on lessons so people can make their own little animals. And there will be so much more than just art lessons based on these woodland animals!!! But, that is for another blog!
Trust me, if you have art loving kiddos (or yourself love to create) you are going to love what's coming! If you have a heart to make Jesus' love known and spread his love like confetti, you will be excited about the new season ahead! It will be a season of creating, coming to understand God's love through the art process and getting creative in how we share Jesus!
