Jesus Is Our Eternal Valentine

Updated: Jan 27, 2022

The recent turmoil in our nation has turned my heart not to despair, but has awakened a deep determination to root my son in God's truth and Word. As Valentines is approaching, I decided to develop a series of seasonal tools to establish a firm foundation for truth. And to share what I have made with others. Together we can raise up a godly generation rooted in an understanding of our powerful and amazing Savior. I wanted them to be easy to store and bring out yearly to display as a banners of truth for each holiday! Click here to access these free Names Of God Valentines and a LOT more freebies!

My son never wants to take our Christmas tree or decorations down. We have a morning ritual where we plug in the tree and say together, "Jesus is the light of the world!" It's a seasonal rhythm that we both love. So, since I had decided to celebrate Jesus as our Eternal Valentine, I went with his request to leave the tree up and have now made a Valentine's tree using some of the names of God. He was so excited!

I also made a special banner with with John 3:16. Above it I hung a set of duplicate scriptures with the scriptures printed on the back. In Deuteronomy 6:7-9 it says, "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."

I created 18 names of God printables (subscribe to my site to receive these and more). They didn't all fit in my kitchen window and I know that not many people leave their Christmas trees up, so I have created another way to display the scriptures. Using a burlap ribbon, I hung them on the wall in our kitchen.

Another way to use these printable Valentines is as lunchbox notes.

I hope this is a blessing to you and your family as together, though miles may separate us, we join together and focus our hearts on God's love and truth.
